ABOUT THE SERIES

Every machine carries a second system: the people who wait for it, work around it, and trust it to move.

Across platforms, carriage windows, concourses, rail yards, roads, and airport aprons, the vehicle is never the only subject. The series follows the temporary arrangements transportation creates—strangers held along a platform edge, crews meeting a schedule, operators framed by their machines, and cities reorganized around arrival and departure.
